HP Mini 1000

The news that brings respect to the HP Mini 1000 are enough. The first we see is that concerning the design, which changes color and material. It passes because of the aluminum to plastic, but with an excellent finish and design, as we see in the pictures below.
With a thickness of less than 1 inch and weighs 900 grams for the standard 8.9 inches, 10.2 inches of the weight just goes up until the kilogram. Excellent mark it. The resolution of both displays is 1024 x 600 pixels and uses LED technology.

Still on the configuration, the version with Windows XP will come standard with 512 or 1 GB of RAM. We will not be able to expand that memory because, according to HP’s version of Windows XP (license) for this type of equipment limited memory to use up to 1 GB. So if we want to place up to 2 GB will have to choose the model with Ubuntu, we will leave a little cheaper, from 280 U.S. dollars from January.
Regarding the connectivity, the HP Mini 1000 is a Mini computer with WiFi 802.11b / g, two USB ports and an optional Bluetooth v2.1 and 3G. It also takes 0.3-megapixel webcam and an excellent keyboard with a size of 92% compared to a traditional laptop. The battery seems to remain of three cells in the basic version.
An important detail and we are not liked is that nothing has removed the traditional VGA output by a special need to build a dock outside the exit. We understand that this is a team to carry from one side to another, but do not give us that option is not convinced.
